What a chimney cowl does
A chimney cowl sits on top of your chimney pot. Depending on the type, it can help keep birds out, reduce rain getting in, stop debris falling down the flue, or improve how the chimney draws.
There is no single cowl that suits every chimney. An open fire, a stove, a gas appliance and a disused flue all have different needs, so we look at how your chimney is used before recommending anything.
What we fit
Our most popular product is the Allgrip Crow Guard with Top Cover, but we also supply and fit:
- Crow guards and bird guards
- Anti-rain cowls with solid tops
- Anti-downdraught cowls
- Stainless-steel cowls
- Stove flue terminals
- Ventilated caps for disused chimneys
- Replacement cowls for damaged or rusted ones
How the fitting works
You send us a photo of your chimney from the ground. We confirm which product suits, what access is needed and the full price. Once you agree, we book a date. Roof work only goes ahead in safe weather.
