Chimney Cowl Fitting Wicklow
Wicklow homes take the brunt of east-coast wind and rain, and rural properties near woodland see plenty of crows and jackdaws. We supply and fit chimney cowls and crow guards from Bray down to Arklow and out to Blessington.

Chimneys in Wicklow
Coastal towns like Bray, Greystones and Kilcoole get driving rain off the sea, while many rural and older homes have chimneys that are rarely used. Protection that keeps birds out while still letting the flue breathe is key here.
Common problems we see
- Wind-driven rain entering open pots on coastal homes.
- Jackdaws nesting in disused chimneys on rural properties.
- Downdraught on exposed sites near the mountains.
- Older cowls rusted or blown off in winter storms.
Is the €160 crow guard right for my chimney?
The Allgrip Crow Guard suits many standard round pots on open fireplaces and disused chimneys. Stoves, gas appliances and lined flues usually need a different terminal. Send us a photo and tell us how the chimney is used, and we'll confirm the right product before you book.
