Chimney Cowl Fitting Dublin
From Victorian red-brick terraces in Rathmines and Phibsborough to 1970s semi-ds in Tallaght and Swords, Dublin has thousands of chimney pots sitting completely open to birds and weather. We supply and fit chimney cowls and crow guards right across the city and county.

Our most popular offer
Allgrip Crow Guard with Top Cover – 11 inch

- Helps deter birds from nesting
- Top cover helps reduce rain entering
- Helps stop debris falling in
- Hard-wearing black finish
- Assessment + standard fitting included

Extra pots, difficult access, unusual chimneys or specialist work are quoted and agreed before installation. Not every chimney is suitable for this product.
Chimneys in Dublin
Many older Dublin homes have several pots on a shared stack, often with fireplaces that have been closed off or replaced with stoves. Each flue needs the right protection, so we look at every pot individually rather than fitting one product to everything.
Common problems we see
- Crows and jackdaws nesting in open pots on terraced roofs, especially in spring.
- Twigs and nesting material dropping into fireplaces in older houses.
- Rain coming down unused chimneys in exposed coastal areas such as Howth, Clontarf and Dún Laoghaire.
- Multiple pots on a shared stack where only some flues are in use.
Is the €160 crow guard right for my chimney?
The Allgrip Crow Guard suits many standard round pots on open fireplaces and disused chimneys. Stoves, gas appliances and lined flues usually need a different terminal. Send us a photo and tell us how the chimney is used, and we'll confirm the right product before you book.
