Chimney Cowl Replacement

Cowls don't last forever. Rust, storm damage and loose fixings are common. We remove the old one where safe and fit a suitable replacement.

Signs your cowl needs replacing

Look out for:

  • Visible rust or holes
  • A cowl leaning or loose on the pot
  • Missing parts, or the cowl gone completely after a storm
  • Birds getting in around it
  • A cowl that doesn't suit a newly fitted stove

Like-for-like or an upgrade

If the old cowl worked, we can often fit an equivalent. If the chimney's use has changed, for example an open fire replaced with a stove, we'll recommend a product that suits the new setup.
